Default help and advice

Help I just bought a 2003 x type jaguar the wipers and turns signals don't work I'm told if it's not the fuses then it can be a multi-unit switch, has anyone experienced this issue and how much($) will it be, also im in need of the divers side headlights looking online the prices are high anyone know of any used (lower prices) places or sites i can check, Im in the Ft Lauderdale area

Thanks

cjebodh, since you are sure it is not fuses (as it would have to be 2 different fuses to cause this), then you are most definitely looking at a bad multifunction stalk. They are not difficult to replace. The big thing will be getting the steering column apart so you can undo the plug on the switch. Looking online, you are going to pay about $160-175 for the new switch plus any S&H to get it to you.

To find a used one, you should be able to get off cheaper, but it will be interesting to see who is parting out a car and would have one like you need. If you look, you should be able to get this one for fairly cheap:

Wish you luck. Oh, by the way, please stop by the New Member Section and introduce yourself. We are quirky in that we like to get to know one another. Hey Cjebodh,
I have one of those switches if you have not got one yet. I will sell it to you cheap. Pm me and we can work out the details.

Thanks and good luck,
The Dr!

It would be courteous to PM the good DR. about the details of your transaction.

Per this thread my front left turn signal doesn't blink but the tic toc is rapid.
all other turn signals on the car blink demurely.
My bulb holder is clean I have changed the bulb.if I should dissect the steering column to re solder something could someone give me a list of instructions?
Thanks in advance

If they did, it would probably be for an X-Type.
