Hello all....wonder if any of you can help ?
I have a 2003 X-Type 2.1 V6 Sport
While i was driving the other day i heard a dull twang noise come from the front end...
I have just discovered that it was the bonnet release cable...must have snapped or popped out somehow....?
Problem is i now can't open the bonnet !
So, my question to you all is, how do i fix it myself ?

Bham, what you will need to do is to get the front end of the car up in the air a little bit. You will then need to remove the plastic tray that connects the bottom of the front bumper to the underside of the car. From there, you can take a long stick or other suitable device and reach up in there to undo the 2 latches. At this point, you will be able to open the hood. From there, you can undo the 2 bolts for each latch and find your problem. The repair will depend on what you find.
