HELP! Hood won't open 03 xtype

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get the hood open on an 03 xtype?

The last time the latch was pulled it only released one side. NOw I can't get it open. I appreciate any advice on how to remedy my problem

X-Types don't have a hood as they are not convertibles. They do have a bonnet!!!

Search in the X-Type forum there are a couple posts about how to get the bonnet unlatched from the bottom.

and here I thought little red riding hood was the only 1 with a hood

yes from underneath the car you can pop the HOOD releases with a long screw driver or similar BONNET latch popping tool. Jaguar was nice enough to even provide rectangular openings to go through to do just this. But you might have to jack up the front whilst youre under the car to get enough room to get the screwdriver up there
