Hi evryone. Please help. I have a jaguar x type 2.1 V6 se petrol auto. 54 reg. Today a message appeared saying gearbox fault. Done diagnostic and error code p0715 appeaRd. 3 garages said it means transmission speed sensor. And gearbox comletely needs changing. The car drives fine but as u start going up to 2nd gear on auto it gives the car a nudge. And when you do 25 to 30 mph it shakes. Please please somone advice me if u had same problem. Many thanx in advance.

 

hi if it your speed sensor you can check it via the plugs on the valve body ot see if it is faulty if it is then the gearbox has to come out as the sensor looks at the speed of the teeth on the gears in the box the jaguar workshop manual tells you how to do it
