Default HID installation, do I need to remove headlights?

I ordered HID's from xenondepot.com (http://www.kbcarstuff.com/Xtreme_HID...s_p/xt-4kp.htm) and I was wondering if I needed to remove the whole headlight assembly to install the HID's?

I saw a black cap when you open the hood that covers the factory bulbs when removed and was just wondering if I can do it from there?

Thanks in adavanced.

Jag620, yes, you can install the HIDs using just the black cap and leaving the headlights installed. But, with that being said, the one in front of the battery is a real PITA to do if you don't either remove the headlight assembly or the complete battery box. The risk is by not removing the headlights, you chance breaking the supports for the lenses, leading to the headights pointing to the ground. But, if you are careful and make sure to support the internals of the headlight assemblies as you are removing/installing, all should be good. Besides, pulling the bumper cover only takes about 45 minutes, so, small price to pay to ensure you don't mess up the headlight assemblies.

Disco, messing around with the headlights isn't that big of a deal. But then, I take the extra effort and remove the bumper cover and then unbolt the headlight assemblies from the vehicle. The big trick is when things don't want to play, you have to stick both of your hands inside of the opening to help push a little as you are pulling too. That way all the force you are applying is going through the bulb holder, not through the internals to the body of the headlight assembly. You keep that in mind and you can do wonders with your headlights. I have already converted the small white running lights over to LED. The next step is converting the license plate lights over to LED. Gotta love $1 mods.
