Default HID Kit

I noticed that my headlamps looked a little plain, i have halogens in at the moment with the right harness melted. Now um thinking of putting in some hids here is a link ( http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Jaguar-X-Type-...09179004r28073 )on ebay that i was looking at...it has all the details but i dont know what to look for or if this is even compatible take a peak at it and let me know if its worth the money or recommend me one

Jessy, yes, that kit will work in your car. NO problems. As for converting the price to what it would be for me, who knows. It is nice that the kit claims no cutting of wiring is necessary. most of the cheaper kits, you would need to do some cutting. So, that is one thing going for that kit.

Also note that you have your choice between three light levels (5000K, 6000K, and 8000K). There are slight differences between the three. The 5000K will be your brightest, but will also have the snow white/yellow look. The 6000K will be a true snow white look (may even have a slight blue halo to it), but won't be as bright as the 5000K's (the 6000K bulbs are rated at about 2900 lumen vice the 3100 lumen of the 5000K). The 8000K bulbs will start to have a continuous blue haze to them and will be even dimmer than the 6000K bulbs (only at 2700 lumen, vice the previous lumen levels). The big thing that you need to ask yourself is if you are after looks or functionality as your priority for the lights. From there, this data should set you on the path to getting what you want.
