Just sharing this XType hood release cable fix video that Chris Fix who is a You Tube channel has created. ChrisFix has an excellent series of videos on basic car repair and he just bought an X Type as a project car. I recommend subscribing to his YouTube site as he is going to be doing a few X Type vids on topics

 

Thanks Rob! We need more X-Type how to videos. Far too few out there. Wish I saw this before I just took everything off and added hood pins.

 

That was an excellent video..wish I had seen it before I tackled my X's problem..I didn't have to replace the cable, just re-attach it to the driver's side latch.

Looking forward to his future X-Type videos. He did help shed some light on the common issue, but mine is stuck on the drivers side. Is it betterto remove the left front fender liner and try to pry the latch? Or, reach under the car to unlock it?
