Dear All!
To cut the long story short: can you please identify the broken hose? How is it called, perhaps the VIN number even?
This is for a 2003 3.0V6 X-type with automatic gearbox
Yesterday night I noticed that the heating fans are set to high speed (AUTO mode) but cold wind blows through. On highway, at high speed it was working well, but as sson as we left the highway the heating became cooling. My mechanic advised me to check the coolant level and not to move the car. I opened the hood and saw this hose broken, with coolant all over it and appr 2 l (half gallon) missing from the coolant tank.
My mechanic said that he would rather come over himself to replace the hose, but he needs the VIN number. Can you help me out, please?
Thank you!
The VIN is simply to identify the correct hose for your particular car as parts change through the production cycle. The VIN is the 17 digit number stamped on a metal piece visible at the bottom of your windscreen, left side of the car: driver's side if your car is LHD.
