How much damage could I have done to my cat?
Poor X started overheating today. I was about 6 miles from home. So I pulled into a parking lot after the heat light came on, and waited about 10 minutes. - I noticed the fan was running even though the key was out of the ignition. Then drove the about 5 miles with the car on red heat (light went on about 1 mile in). The air conditioner was never on during the 11-15 mile trip except for when I first started her.
My wife gave birth to our first child on Saturday morning, so we were running the A/C alot to make sure he was kept cool in the muggy weather we have been having: and even had the car staitionary for about 20 minutes with the A/C running on Monday for the hospital release. Maybe that caused something to snap.
Oh well, could I have done that much damage to the engine? I have the SE warranty and plan on having the cat towed to the dealer tomorrow morning. Thanks dudes.

Usually when that happens your best bet would have been to turn the Heat on HIGH. I know it would have been very uncomfortable for you but it would have drawn heat from the motor. I would have also let it cool down and check the antifreeze levels. If they were low you probably have a leak somewhere and you could have dumped water in momentarily so you could get home. As for how much damage you have done to your motor that i am not too sure of.
