Default Ignition cylinder lock - Can be lubricated?

Hello,
Does someone know if the cylinder lock can be lubricated?
My key is working harder and harder and today I had a tough time to start the car.

Thanks!

I never could find anything that worked and had to have the cylinder replaced. I'd stay away from sprays and use something graphite based.

I had it done right at the end of my warranty, but I think it would have been around $300 at the dealer. That's replacing the entire cylinder and ignition switch.

hi guys, just an update:
I used some lubricant for a while but the cylinder block started to do the same thing. I have ordered one in England and arrived after a week. The dealership replaced it for me and now everything works fine.
The part cost me $150 CAD and the labour $130 CAD.
I thank you for your replies.

So...does the key now turn in the opposite direction that you are used to? Or is that Australia?
