Default I'm officially done buying wheels - new 17x9 "BBS look" with Blizzaks for Winter

Of all the wheels I've had in the last 22 months owning this car (it's been 8 sets I think), the only ones I really didn't like were my staggered Porsche Winter wheels. I just happened to call and inquire on some Bridgestone Blizzaks 2 weeks back and since there were only 4 sets left in the country in the size I wanted and nothing coming in again until next summer, I made the call to buy them. You know me though, once i get a new set of wheels, I can't wait a month to see what they look like mounted...

These kind of match the OEM retro feel of the car, but they are only 17", so one inch too small in my opinion.

Wheels are 17x9 Privat (made by Koenig) Remember ET35 with 25mm spacers, so corrected ET10. They were redrilled and sleeved to convert bolt pattern from 5x114.3 to 5x108. Thanks to Inland Wheel in San Bernadino!

Looks like it will be a bitch to clean the brake dust off those wheels.

Oh, right, you don't own any particular set of wheels long enough for them to actually get dirty... ;-)

Took some slightly better pics, but still my phone, so not great...

This next pic really makes the car look longer, Gragner. It is because if the ride height and smaller diameter wheels.

Thanks for compliments. I am selling the Cygnus and Porsche winters next.

"Officially done buying wheels"? No way. Maybe just done for this season? Interesting you mention Inland Wheel, they did my Anterra's but 5x100 to 5x108.

Man those wheels really do look good on just about any car... They would be perfect if they were just an inch bigger (that's what she said) but for winter wheels they look awesome.

PS. I know you said you were interested in my Sentas but I've decided to keep them so they can go on my next car... Hint hint.

You should get a Volvo, STR, or Ferrari/Maserati - I think you need boost, but if you go with a Taurus SHO, Thunderbird or Contour I won't hold it against you.

Actually a Quattroporte is on the list of cars I need to test drive.. I'm really leaning towards an XKR though. I just wish that there was a proper manual gearbox available for either of them. I still haven't achieved the ballerific status necessary to daily drive a Ferrari. I've seen F355s selling for as low as $60k though, which is kind of an awesome deal. I'd take one of those in a heartbeat over a new M3.

Don't knock T Birds though... They are the cheapest cars out there to insure, mainly because of their mostly weekend car status and geriatric ownership community.

Jeremy, do you have any pics of your car at normal driving height? I'm curious to see how that looks.

Can you tell me how you did that color treatment on the side lights? That is very very nice.

I just used 3M Scotchcal 220 vinyl from a sign shop to cover them. Took 20 minutes and $10 to do.

Really? I do need winter wheels through about March just in case we ever do get snow. I wasn't really looking to sell but I would trade for a set of these factory wheels in perfect or refurbished condition - silver paint, not chrome:

Jaguar "Custom" in 19x8

With these tires mounted:

Achilles Winter 101 215/35/19 - not nearly the quality of the Blizzaks on the BBS reps, but they should be ok as winters.

Guessing it is possible to do this for around $1000, but I don't want to piece the set together.
