how do i remove the air box in 2002 jaguar x-type 2.5l?

I'm not all that sure since it's been awhile since I had mine off. But I think that after you remove the top and filter that there are 2 screws in the bottom of the box and there maybe 1 screw outside the left corner towards the firewall too. Then you loosen the hose clamp and remove the box. I hope this helps.
Oh, Ya, I think there are some screws that attach the box to the inlet horns also on the inside of the box.
Things keep coming to mind. You have to remove the engine cover also 2 screws and the oil filler cap.

 

When you have taken all the screws out, you need to grab the box with both hands and pull upwards, you'll need to use quite a lot force.
