Interesting problem with my sound system.
My sound system has developed a really interesting problem. By interesting I mean annoying and by problem I mean PROBLEM.
When I go over a slight bump (of a certain kind) the radio cuts out for a few seconds. This problem also applies to the CD changer. I can go over rough roads and it won't do it but a small 'swoop' causes havoc.
I took it to my mechanic and they checked all the connections but couldn't find the problem. They say it is something internal and the sound system will have to be replaced.
Now - HERE'S THE INTERESTING BIT !
On two ocassions when I have been listening to CDs the 'cut outs' have finally resulted in the system switching from CD to RADIO - WHICH THEN WORKS PERFECTLY FOR THE REST OF THE TRIP !!!
When I switch off and go to work, the next time I get in the car the problem defaults to it's original state. ie When I go over a slight bump (of a certain kind) the radio cuts out for a few seconds.
Has anyone else had a similar problem ?
