interior question
I just got my x-type and noticed a small compartment to the left of the steering wheel. It seems to be like maybe a place to put jewerly or something. It doesnt have a cover on it but I am not sure there is suppose to be one there. Looks like that might be the case. Can anybody elaborate?

Is this at knee height, just large enoguh to fit your hand into, lined with a 'carpety' finish to the plastic? It sounds like you are describing the knee-high key/wallet/phone compartment that almost every car has on the driver side.

Recently I must have changed the way I get outa the car lately. When I am getting out I kick this "thing" and it pops out and pisses me off.
I gotta "relearn" how to get out of a Jag properly!!!
