Interior roof lining peeling off at the pilars

Thanks. After posting this I dug around in my art supplies and found a bottle of "weldbond" which looked like elmers glue but said it was better than glue, so I rubbed a bunch on the pillar and on the fabric and smoothed it back on and am letting it dry. Seems like it did the trick. The front pillars are just starting to come off so I wasn't able to get any glue under them, but one in the back was dangling off and I barely noticed it.

My headliner was falling across the front pillars and around the third brake light in the rear. I have a friend that owns an upholstery shop; he told me to spray some upholstery adhesive in a cup, then use a small, wide brush to apply the adhesive. Let it dry 15 minutes or so, then stretch the headliner back into place. Worked awesome; no overspray, no wrinkles or excess glue.

I am having this issue with my 2001
It has peeled around the 3rd brake light. That is OK since I can spray or wipe adhesive inbetween the liner and the roof and stick it back up.
But the problem is also developing on the main roof sections. They have come away and are sagging low from the roof but the edges are still intact so there is no way to spray/wipe glue into the gap. I guess the glue has to be sprayed into the gap?
It cannot be sprayed onto the exterior of the liner that has sagged and pressed back up? Or can it?
If not then I guess I have to pull it loose so I can get the glue nito the gap?

Hi there are contact adhesives which can be sprayed through a tube "narrow" I have had similar problems "not in a car" drill a hole to suit the tube, usually no more than a few mm. Spray into the cavity, leave for a few seconds then push the lining back and allow it to fall a few times to get the glue dispersed. Then after the recommended time for curing press it back and it will stay put.
