Wow, you've got a few issues. Id try checking the fuse!! Switch it out and see if you get a change...

You could look at it this way, your half way between freezing or frying!

As andersen said...........I'd at least try checking the fuse scenario first. Have you done that, or had any joy yet?
Please let us know

With the S Type the sensor is a standard fault, it also will upset the climate control.
A new one from the dealer is less than £5. The X type may use the same sensor.
Hope this helps.

Mine has had days where it was a little off...when my a/c wasn't working but all is well now...hey bo mine is within a degree or two of the ones on the side of the road...I'd say try the sensor thing that they've suggested bo and fix the problem you'd only be out a few bucks...surely less than what you've spent on other things!
BTW your car is a dud....everytime someone has a complaint about their car you have the same exact problem...you need to sell yours and get a newer one with a warranty bud!

Yeah I know I'm feeling for him....think the car is talking to him and he's really ignoring! Pretty soon here though if things keep going wrong I say we all say its his fault he hasn't gotten rid of it yet!
That car were mine that thing would have been gone a long time ago!

Whether its down to good maintenance or good luck, all I know is, I've been really lucky in that sense.
Had a few problems here n there, but who doesn't. Mostly run of the mill brake pads, servicing, tyres etc with the odd fault now n then, but nothing worth slitting my wrists over thats for sure.
When I bought the X I traded my Vauxhall Astra 1.7CDTI for it. That car had been looked after and maintained / recently serviced and never missed a beat, ever.
The salesman was speaking to me a few weeks later as I was in getting my Saab serviced. He told me that the Astra had blown up / went on fire or sumthin of that nature ( never did get the right story) when a mechanic was driving it in town.
Coulda happened to me I guess had I held onto the car, personally speaking, I reckon the mechanics been thrashing it and redlined it bigtime for that to happen. Nevertheless............a close call
Lucky white heather??

Thats funny...we were up in Alpena which is basically when you look at the back of your left hand its at the tip of your pointer finger...anyways my dad bought a brand new 02 2500 ram from his cousin that owned the chrysler dealer up there and they traded my moms bronco in...well it was traded in in december and we were up there for a family reunion in august...my dads brother got to the reunion and was like "I'm pretty sure I just saw your bronco a couple streets away...totalled!" Well it turned out that someone was test driving it and they got side swiped! That sucks! The dealer ended up getting like 5-6 thousand out of it (insurance company) even though they only gave my parents like 4g's for it!

Thats good that it blew up...unless they are actually a good dealership and not a ***********!

Well to be honest.......It was actually a Saab delaership, obviously some old todger had traded in his X for a Saab 95 or the like.
Yes, I gotta be honest. It was a fab dealership. Those guys jumped thru hoops for me for 2 years with the 93. Kinda miss them[]
