Default Jag Techs - A/C Question

This had me stumped all last summer. My A/C would work intermittently during the summer. It'd be cold for about 30 minutes or so, then all of a sudden start blowing hot steamy air.

Now, during the winter/spring when it's not blazing hot outside, the a/c always works, no matter what.

What the hell would cause this?

Hard to say without putting gauges on it. Possibly a restriction in the fixed orifice tube. Possibly low refrigerant, possibly bad evap temp sensor, possibly possibly......

When you have blower on high, when you push the recirc button do you hear the blower noise change?
If not, there is another post here on how to address that. In hot weather, the recirc flap doesnt move so you only normally get outside air in and takes longer to cool. However, if yours is going hot from cold, indicates another problem.

^ I remember you posting about the same problem back during the summer. I want to diagnose it before it gets hot again because I dont ever want to go through that again. It worked more than it didn't, but during the times it didn't work, it was HAWWWT!
