Default Jaguar owner advice needed

Hi, noob here, just wanted your input on this beaut: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=STRK:MEWA:VRI

Sounds too good to be true or nightmare(s) waiting to happen?

Second, for Jag owners with 5sp manuals, what does it typically costto replace a clutch, I read that Jag's clutch are horrible and needed replacement every 20k or so. Thanks for your advices.

20k what rubbish.
Clutch in mine has done 75k and still OK and thats driven hard quite a bit in a 3.0 with 5 spd manual.
Price is around the GB£900 to fit new clutch bit of a job in an AWD.

A clutch job is cheaper here in the states than that price quoted. Spartanx just replaced his clutch and I'm pretty sure it wasn't that expensive...That deal isn't too good to be true but make sure you check the last 6 of the vin and see that there is a warranty. Most times if any damage that would have been done to the car jag wouldn't still have a warranty on it, it would be void. As long as it has a warranty seems like a decent deal to me but keep in mind that it is 2.5 and it is also stick, neither of which help the value of the car...

Thanks all, I was told that the car had a minor accident history with the 1/4 panel being replaced, the title is clear andit has 6 months warranty remaining. As far as engine size is concerned, 2.5 don't bother me, I not a speed demon anyway, mostly city driving, and manual, well I just want mine a stick. I gonna email him an offer tonight see how it goes.

Thanks Jim64, The car is off the market, cuz I just bought it. Talk to that dealer, straight foward, give me the history of the car, was in a accident. But I really wanted this JAG, too beautiful.

Enjoy, the 3.0 from what I've read is just an overall better engine. But hey you may be driving a jag soon so who cares. Check and see what it would take to extend the jag warranty if possible...
