Hi Everyone,

Im planning on my first oil change today and I could use your help. To confirm I will need the following:

- 6.7q of Mobil1
- Oil Filter (K&N a good choice)?
- Oil Filter removal tool
- 13mm wrench for Oil Plug

Could you please provide me with a pic showing where the oil pan plug is on a 2002 xtype 3.0?

Its not hard to see. Plug is on rear passenger side of pan.

 

Jack the car up you'll see her under there...most my car would take for oil was 6.5 quarts of oil...

 

Yeah we put 6.55 quarts in X-Types.

 

I would use Castrol Syntec..Castrol has some petroleum products still in the mix..even though it is called full sythetic, it ain't exactly true..As a benifit of this, this will help maintain seals better..But it has been proven that Castrol offers the second best wear protection..Amsoil being #1 and Mobil1 is way down on the list....And don't forget to prefill the the new oil filter before you install it..other than that, your list looks complete.
