Hi I'm looking to buy my favourite x type 2.6v
but it has a fault that it runs very intermittently
the engine compression has been checked and all cylinders are good.
Suspected electrical fault or injectors? MOT failure due to emissions resulting from engine not running smoothly. Starts and drives but lacks power when trying to accelerate under load.
Any help or advise on problem and cost to repair

get a bluetooth or wifi code reader and a phone app to see if any of the on-board computers throws you any codes, then google the codes that are brought up.

if you get the code p1000 it means a complete drive cycle isn't finished and most likely the codes were reset by someone before you came to look at it (not a good sign)

if you get the code p1111 it means a complete drive cycle was completed and no major faults were found, i think
