Default Jaguar X Type caliper bracket bolt

Hi I'm Andrew, I recently bought a Jaguar X Type and one of the front Caliper bracket bolts/ mounting bolts fell out while driving. I was wondering if anyone knows of where to find them. I can't find anything online for sale.

Easiest method would be to remove the remaining one and find a similar bolt at a hardware shop.

Yeah, it's a tough one...

Just a caution, brake bolts (& some others) are different in strength, etc. than normal bolts & for good reason. If replacing, make sure it is of equal or greater rating.

Default Bolt

Would a ford Caliper bracket bolt work? I know most of the parts are ford.

Most parts are NOT Ford. So tired of this uninformed, short sighted, misconception.

Dell,
Hate to burst your bubble but the front brake calliper is the same part used on the ford mondeo mk3.
The front brake discs are the same part, and the mondeo mk3 front lower wishbone and hub/knuckle are the same.
Whilst the mondeo front strut is physically the same (and will fit), jaguar specified a twin tube strut, instead of the mondeo's single tube strut.

With all of the above info, I would bet on the caliper's carrier bracket being the same, so I would say the carrier bolts would also be the same.

Just double checked, and yes the carrier is the exact same part, so the bolts will be the same.

Paul.

Yeah forgot my own post on the video of removing the front arm (w/ball joint) being PRECISELY the same as the X. Video is a Mondeo.

Yes I can confirm the brakes are the same as Ford Mondeo mk3. The disassembly "front lower wishbone and hub/knuckle" are not as easy as you can see in the video.
