Thumbs up Jaguar x-type fueal injector and fuel rail change

Hi Guys

I recently had my Fuel Injector and Fuel Rail changed. I have attached images you might find helpful.

Whoever does the changes I have done make sure of one thing that the bolts should not be tightened beyond 10nm. Its not a very difficult job if you have a little skill. All you need is good weather and a weekend. You can save lots of money.

Resurrecting this one. Dumb question, maybe not dumb, but seems dumb.... Is the fuel rail under pressure, or is there anything I have to do about fuel pressure if I replace the injectors? I'm having to dig in to the top end to replace a knock sensor and though I'd replace the injectors while I was in there. Feedback is always appreciated!

Yes it will be under pressure. If yours is a model that still has the shrader valve then you can place a rag over it and press in the valve and relieve the pressure before taking it apart. If not then you can also pull the fuel pump fuse and crank the car for a few seconds and that will also let the pressure off
