Starter turned over but engine not firing. Told due to battery (10 year old ) even though amp meter said good and fully charged. New battery £98 starting OK| for a couple of days then same problem. Diagnostics said no problem Then tested under `FORD` program instead of `JAGUAR` reading found problem with `CAM SENSOR` new one fitted. Problem solved. (£36)

Although you might feel that a new battery at £98 might have been an unnecessary expense, at 10 years old it was long overdue imo, so all good.


Glad all is now well again
