Default jerking at high speed

Hi
I wanted to know what the thoughts were among members for this. Also, my friend has disconnected all four co2 sensors which he found were innefective. WOUld this cause the jerking or are there more obvious places to look first?
For the sensors he will have to search at the scrapyard. What is the correct resistance ?

many thanks indeed

I am amazed that the X-Type drives at all without the O2 sensors... - yes, this should be the problem that your o2 sensors are missing. Obviously, you also may have an overlaying issue, which I cannot know about.

The "scrapyard" is NOT the place to look for new O2 sensors. Btw.: I strongly assume that you are referring to the O2 sensors, when you write "CO2" sensors?
Old O2 sensors would very likely be damaged.

Those parts need to be purchased as new replacement parts. The P/N is C2C25956 for the downstream (=lower sensors) and C2S51801 for the upstream sensors.

Downstream sensors cost, if you order them at britishparts.co.uk, 65.84 British Pounds each and the upstream 103.14 British Pounds each, plus horrendous postage costs. For me, that would be a no go.

At Aliexpress they are much cheaper. There will be members here, who would say, that the sensors from Aliexpress are crap. But considering the price difference (including postage the parts are about 10 times as expensive at britishparts), I would choose "crap" - and I do not believe that they are crap anyway...

Upstream at Aliexpress cost about AUD$25 each (free postage) and downstream about the same cost.

PS: You will find the O2 sensors on Aliexpress by entering the P/N into the search field

O2 sensor extended warranty covers 2014 to 2017 model years.
15 years for V6
10 years for V8

That extended warranty for a few 2014-2017 models, valid in a very small part of this world only - obviously does not cover the X-Type, since the last X-Type was build in 2010.
Also: The X-Type is from the Ford-Jaguar era, while 2014-2017 is Tata-Jaguar, who all but stopped car production anyway (except for one electric "mobility-scooter"...).

>>>> Jaguar "will no longer be on sale for new vehicles" in European markets by the end of 2024, with the U.K. to follow early next year.
