Default Just bought a C240 to compliment my Jag.

Picked up an 05 Mercedes C240 last night for $17250.00 with only 25,000 miles on it. Car is in near mint condition. Its a birthday present for my wife. :-)
I looked all over for an x-type similar in price and condition, but I just couldn't find one. This car is a very clean alternative. all wheel drive, black with tan interior....
Just like my 05 Jag!
I swear we are going to look like the snobs of the neighborhood. the cars are practically identical exept the brand! LOL!

Its amazing how there is a shortage of jags right now. I couldn't find a decent one under 100 miles away. Heck, I had to drive 70 miles out of state for this benz because the closest one was in New York, and I'm in Connecticut! As soon as I have it in the driveway I'll take pics of both the cars together, just for fun.

Nice. I have to admit I haven't really looked seriously at MB. I don't know why, I think I find the interior to utilitarian, not enough glitz.

I know in my 'hood' even though it is pretty middle class I have the Jagon, my wife drives an X5, I also had a Z3 as a toy and a couple of motorcycles always in the garage. I don't have many vises, except cars. It's a revolving door. Before the X5 the wife had a Range Rover so......

I've only recently moved towards Jaguars but I've owned around 50 MB's in my time. Th 05 is a good year for the C-Class, they updated the interior that year and it looks much better.

When I took my E Class in for a service in 05, the dealer gave me an 05 C230 to knock around in. I was very impressed at it's build quality. Well done.

I was looking at MB when I bought my X Type - BMW too. But my thought was "everyone has one".

Congrats on the new car. Post pix.

Come on man, you can't leave it at that, details, details!

We all want to gloat about how smart, lucky, insightful we are to own our X-Types :-)

I bought a wonderful all white C240 The car was beautiful leather sunroof! Then I had an issue with the parking brake. Next the brakes had an incredible amount of problems. Constantly the wonderful MB warranty people kept saying it was all my fault! The dealer highly unhelpful! To the point of being evasive!! Sadly he is also the only dealer! Lastly in the 2nd year of ownership.... The tranny..... I drove the car a bit over 16000 kilo's in two years. I bought it with 11 kilos on the car so I put roughly 15989 kilos on the car. Who ever drove those few 11 kilos must have beat the **** out of it. Not sure who drove it those almost 7 miles though. But they must have taken a toll on the car. In that time it turned out to be a money pit. I would never ever buy an entry level benz again!!! Nor an entry level anything. I would slice my wrist first!!! No thanks!!!!!

Sadly Jaguar does not have a new all wheel drive car. Luckily Porsche does still have a 911C4. Which is not entry level

So the fact that I picked up an 03 X type with 24k on it for $8,000 must be pretty good...That dealer never knew what hit him!

I agree...My vises are cars and watches...currently have the Jag, lexus IS350, and a Volvo S60 2.5T AWD...Side note...where did you get your rims for the "Jagon" as you call it.....I need something to dress up my car.
