Re my previous post about the knocking in my X Type engine. I have, fortunately, found a Jaguar mechanic near Brands Hatch in Kent who will supply and fit a recon. engine for me for an inclusive cost of £1250.

He can even arrange collection of the vehicle from my home and requires payment only at the end of the job when I am satisfied that all is well.

Sounds good to me. I'll report back when it's all done.
