For anyone who is following.

I installed the abs/module in the car. The part number stamped on the aluminum matched perfectly. The part number under the bar code, on the module were the same on both.
After installation I wasn't able to communicate with the abs module, so I bled the brakes manually.
For the first time I got a faulty wheel speed sensor on the right front. When I pulled the speed sensors on both front, it appears that the rings have been gone for years, as there wasn't even a shadow of where they were.

I've put about 79 miles on the car and the limp mode and red exclamation hasn't kicked in.

Funny thing is the trac control and abs lights come on and goes out now and then.

I still haven't found the abs rings stand alone, but was able to get a pair of cv shafts for $100 off of Amazon.
