Little Noise on XType2.0D
Hi,
i'm an Italian guy and I buy a used Xtype (2004/60000km) some days ago.
I'm a little worried becouse a strange sound come out from a little "hole" near the steering wheel. Is a little noise. When the car is in movement is difficult to hear it but when I stop the engine It is very clear and a little annoying. Check the photo (is not mine Xtype in the photo but it's the same):
Someone knows what is it that sound? And if it's normal? It seems also to dont stop also when i close the car....It's a little strange.
Sorry for my bad english at all!!
Thanks in advance for yours answer!
Bye
This is the my sweet jaguar:

RE: Little Noise on XType2.0D
Hi and welcome to the forum
The buzzing noise is probably the tiny fan which carries on running in humid conditions to circulate the air so you dont get blasted by warm air when using your climate control. It circulates air across the humidity sensor. It keeps running for a while after you switch off, and starts again when you open a door. It does this so that there is less delay in getting the climate control to the right setting when you switch on (or restart).

mine does not make any noise, i had a loaner car that made a lot of noise. I would take it to the dealer and see what they can do. do you have a warranty?
