locking wheel nuts

just had new tyres and the tyre fitter broke my locking wheel nut remover went to jag dealer to get new nut remover and they only supply whole set £70 +vat
any tips on removing old wheel nut if i have to weld nut onto the lock nut any tips on what to disconnect to make sure the welding doesn't upset the electronics
