Default Lookig for best OBD II scanner to buy.

Not looking to break the bank so maybe sub $400 for one?

I do have a copy of the list from our website, but last update was 2014.
Primarily working on a 2006 Jaguar X-type with 112k miles. Have a lean code popping up, so i need an OBD II that does fuel pressure. where i am saving so much on labor, cost is not a huge issue. Looking for as many features as possible on the machine.
I will post my questions on the problems in a different format.

Icarsoft does fuel pressure and a whole lot more, its saved me a fortune in not having to go to a dealer. It solved my headlamp levelling problem in 5 mins by telling me the rear sensor wasn’t giving a signal which was simply a broken wire instead of buying a new sensor for twice the price of the Icarsoft. I have also the same bit of kit for my 2 Saabs and my Volvo.

Hi Norcat,

Thank you for your reply. Where you and Dell both had good things to say about Icarsoft, i will start looking there. I see that they are common on Amazon and eBay.

Regards,

Ron

Hi Dell,

Thank you once again for your input. Now that I am back in town I will look into your recommendation on a new scanner.

Regards,
Ron

Searching for the Icarsoft OBD II reader, Amazon gave me a lightning deal on the 2024 Launch X431 Elite for $119 and a 30 day return. I gave it a shot as it did the fuel pressure and long and short trims, as well as coding new keys to the car. Have yet to do the key add yet, but the reader did everything i needed to get my check engine light out.
