Looking for a good condition driver's floor mat but no luck
My car's driver floor mat got damaged but I cannot find its design with cut right corner for accelerator but on e-bay visible used. Should I better cut a new regular carpet following
the original design?
Thank you.
Thank you Dell, but as you could see from the picture of this Australian company, you realize that their Jaguar x-type mats are not upside down but only can fit Jaguars x-type with the steering wheel on the right side. Thus their right front mat will not fit a car with steering wheel on the left side of the car. Unfortunately their mats do not fit a non-Australian (or UK roads running cars).
Are you talking about 2007 Jaguar x-type floor mats? Because your above pics show NOT
Unfortunately you did not read my post describing clearly a driver's floor mat with right corner cut for accelerator. The presented by you "Fitmycar.com" Australian page show a reverse right-left picture of Jaguar x-type driver's floor mat with LEFT upper corner cut for accelerator (positioned at right front of the car) and your above posted pictures show some mats without right corner cut for accelerator AT ALL. Just reverse the real Fitmycar Jaguar x-type picture for the cut corner of driver's mat (not what you posted but what they did) or see my own car's floor mats with right upper corner cut for accelerator in front of the driver's seat below. What mats are you talking about in the posted by you pictures?
PS: I see that you have a 2006 Jaguar x type: can you post a picture of your driver's side mat?
Your 2006 Jaguar x-type mats pictures confuse me as the driver's mat not having the right upper corner cut for the accelerator pedal (see 2006 jag x-type photo of the driver's mat I found over internet that looks like mine --a 2007 jag x-type--). How do you get to your accelerator pedal without a cut from the mat? Maybe raising the mat's corner a little over it? Anyway thanks for advice good will even if it does not help me. I will go to americanfloormats.com instead of fitmycar.com, maybe with more luck. Best wishes for the holidays season.
You might find a local rug company that can do some restorative edge binding if you need to slightly alter an after market mat set.
I've used them before when we got new carpets in the house and took some offcuts to them to be bound for additional door mats.
