loose rearview mirror

hi guys, my interior rearview mirror is really loose to the point where my 10" subwoofer moves it to where i can only see my backseats.

is there a way to tighten the mirror? it looks like it's on a ball and socket joint... any help would be appreciated as this is bugging me like CRAZY!

I have the same problem loose rearview mirror. Has anyone found a solution to this problem? 2002 Jaguar X-Type.

i went to the junk yard and bought one. came out to like $40. Mine also broke from the bass....

Don't know if the same problem or not, but when buying my X, the mirror had slid down from the base, wobbling and bouncing against the windscreen. I firmly pushed it back into position 'til it clicked. No problem now for six months...
