Could that happen by pushing too many buttons?

I use Fan on left side, AC Auto

I lost the display for the AC control panel with Fan, fresh air, F?C, Auto,
A/C buttons.

Before it went blank it gradually lost the screen details on the screen.

so you dont have the
navigation display

 

I do"nt have navigation just the screen for AC,and the lower screen for
the CD etc.

Sound like an issue with the actual LCD display. If so, probably the simplest way to address would be to buy a used module and replace. You could try opening it up and see if the tail connections of the display might have degraded, but that could be a chore to try and fix.

 

they are very cheap on ebay its usually the green resistors in side
