Default Low washer fluid warning staying on?

I have a 2004 X Type and the Low Washer Fluid Light is staying on. I filled it all the way up as it wasn't really that low in the first place but still stays on. Is there a sensor that can be clean or checked in the washer tank? Or could it be something else?

There's a level switch (see item 6) in the side of the Reservoir:

Check for power or a loose connection and whether it needs cleaning before assuming a replacement is required.

By coincidence, just last week, I had a problem with the indication NOT coming on.
I took this photo during my investigation.
The sensor is the the middle unit ( which just pulls out).
I assume the top unit is the washer pump ( which is not very clear in the above diagram but is item 5 ).

Access requires, on my car, ONE screw securing the outer edge of the wheel arch liner, a couple of screws lower down by the side of the engine bay and then easing the liner out of the way.

There is another very recent thread on this.
I just pulled the sender part way out and when I pushed it in again it had corrected the problem.
