Completely unexpected, and might change my plans of selling the X. Ran across this today for $9,995 and it seemed to compliment the Benz fairly well. I'm seriously considering it.

Cheap due to high miles. If it drives out straight it might not scare me so bad. No plans to buy or not to buy yet.

Thanks for the video .You will have owned two jags ,right ? Should you buy that S Type . Anyway, good luck w/ your choice but you know you get what you pay for .I mean it's cheap as you said but make sure you will not buy a money pit .

It's not going to get used much, just make the driveway more attractive. It's going to be sharing driving duties with the Benz, the other Jag, a Lexus Sc400, and a BMW E46 so the amount of time I drive it will be null. I figure for the price if it drives out straight it'll serve it's purpose for about 300 miles a month or so.

I'm just a sucker for the design. It's what attracted me to the X-type to being with, which the lady ended up buying to drive for herself. This would basically be "my Jag"

The stubbiness of the X-type was the only downside to my wanting an S-type even after she bought the X. The S is more streamline and less stubby. The S, even though highly imitated in the market today, still is the best damn looking Ford out there - short of an Aston.

If you look at both of the cars side by side up there, the lower valence and slat work in the front end make a nice familiarity to each other and compliment the idea of having the S since it resembles the Benz in some ways. Even with the separate high beam design.

I like X the most to the current model line up .I find S more conservative desing yet a Jaguar that really successfully streamlined model from 60's models .Actually, you're buyin it just not because you need it .Cool, from now on it seems it will be a low mile car .
I ain't keen on seperate high beam desing but your post has a great point on the resemblance . S Type looks classier I should say that too

I actually prefer the XJ over all of them, but it doesn't look updated enough for me.
