Has Jaguar ever made a mini dic head unit that wil go with a sat nav touch screen system. If so where can i get one. Ive an x type 2006 old shape not facelift.

Hopefully someone can help you out. Otherwise you have to get a MD player w/ an FM transmitter built in.

The XType that I purchased yesterday also has a mini-disc player. I wasn't even aware what these were. My interest in technological toys and advancements ended along with Tomorrow's World, when I was in my early teens!

It's not a show-stopper but at some time in the future, could this be changed to a CD player relatively simply?

On a car of this type (or any new car come to that) I'm scared to touch or do anything other than fluid top-ups!

 

yep you could swap your head unit with the compatible single in dash alpine cd or add a 6 disk shuttle in the boot ! beware there are two different stereo set ups! premium with nav and non nav
my stype r has nav, single mini disk head unit ,and 6 disk stacker/now replaced stacker with the veffremov bluetooth device .
id advise getting the veffremov blue tooth kit endless music from your smart phone, iPod , laptop or what ever you have that is bluetooth capable provided you have a digital music library stored on that device.well wort it !! look up blue tooth streaming device on this forum.
