Mobile phone connection?

Mobile phone connection?
I have visited the Jag website and confirmed that my car is compatabile with my phone.
I have also followed Jag instructions as to connecting.
They say in the car press ##3#*# and then press the green send icon. The message discover me should be displayed but this is where I am getting stuck. No such message appears.
HELP

RE: Mobile phone connection?
Here is what I know... I have a 2002 X Type in which we never bothered with the Star-Tac cradle system knowing blue tooth was coming. We purchased a unit from a 04 Salvage car and got all excited... never worked... Try a local stereo store, I was able to purcahse a module and hook it up rather easily and for minimal cost ($225.00). All though the stereo buttons do not dial, It still works thru the speakers (FM modulator) and no problems thus far.

RE: Mobile phone connection?
Would be good to know the make and model of phone?
When I picked my car up from the dealer (an 06MY) a few days ago, they told me that there would be little or no chance of my phones (not being flash, one company and one own phone ) pairing with the car!
Both paired fine, even the dealer was a little taken by surprise when I told him, maybe this could be a phone issue rather than the car BT?
Have since out of curiosity paired several other phones to the system, they all seem to work just fine!
I'd be interested to see how this one goes, as the dealer was Adam Ant that they wouldn't work!!!

I am also typing in ##3#*# but getting Servince not availble.
I have had the car nearly a year and had my old phone paired with no problems. I have changed my phone from a Blackberry to an iPhone and both are fully compatible, but I don't get the Discovery option when I type the code.
I am doing it immediatley, so I am not going over the 2 minute time out.
Its a 2005 S-Type Sport with all the gizmos.
Can anyone help.
