I'm impressed. Does the kit convert non-folding mirrors too, or just synchronize auto-fold mirrors with the remote?

So far, only added tint to the windows, one step up from Limo Black, and I did the dremel airbox fix. My list of future mods are:

double din deck
something with the front end, modified to match an 08 XJR.
CAI (cosmetic only)
port match intake system

I would appreciate some suggestions on grill/rim upgrades.

2002 2.5L, solid black, tinted windows(not sure of %) Pic uploaded from half a year ago, before I repainted the bumper and put the black bumper trim back on.

For Grills:
http://www.minagallery.com/jagxp/Jag...sh%20grill.htm
Its not bad...feels a little Mustangish.

http://www.minagallery.com/jagxp/Jag...h%20grill2.htm
Jagxtype620 has it done like this, very very sexy front, but the rims are uuuuugly(no offense[I dont think the chrome panels fit])

Or simply what J_bond has above, I like that setup as well, very sexy.
Just not sure what kind of rims to go with them either, I've gone through Tirerack and a bunch of other websites, but not sure what works best on my Jag. If I went with option 2, It might be best off getting the chrome bumper blades too?

Any suggestions?

I like the first option, if you're going to change the grill change the whole thing. Up here in Canada I have yet to see the new style grill on another X-Type. What happened to the front of the car, looks like the bumper inserts are missing, so is one of the washer units.

Bought it post-accident, bumper inserts/blades are back on now, I just need to find a place to get the washer covers, dealership wants $90 each. Thanks for the reply

As per my thoughts on your modifications/wheels etc... Please do us all a favor and keep the mods simple and tasteful. The X-Type already has a distinct look and mystique that is immediately recognizable. How I have always preferred modifying luxury cars is a little philosophy I call "Upgrade-Package-Look." This is where I make modifications that I believe would have been a possible 'special-order' or factory option. Maintaining the essence of the car, but not exceeding it's virtues.
Good example: 22" wheels would NEVER be a factory option on an x-type. 18-19" wheels might.
-Chrome wheels? NO.
-Silver, Graphite or Black wheels? Yes.
-Sport suspension lowered a little? Yes.
-Simple bodykit? Yes.
-Uniformly tinted-windows? Perhaps.
-Chrome Door Pillars? NO NO NO
Ask yourself this: "What does the factory add special to 2008+Jaguars like the XK, XJ etc?" Staying within those parameters usually yields great results.
Another good example is my neighbor who has a new Mercedes C350, he put a factory AMG kit on it and added clean euro-mesh silver 19" wheels with Mercedes emblems in the middle.Lowered it and DONE. and quite striking!
Here is my X-Type(not stating mine is 'superior,' but mildly modded, and gets a CONSTANT barrage of compliments. It also helps that I detail it every month with Zaino products

Yeah I'm not planning on much more after this Maybe HID upgrades. Still undecided on wheels but chrome would be a no. What wheels do you have in that picture?

Buy my rims: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=44829 I'm 99.9% they're the only set on the planet...

As far as the grills I think they all look nice. I agree with j_bond's assessment on how to do tasteful mods.

Made a small correction above, but otherwise I'm with you 100%

Technically, I don't drive mine this low, but within about 2 seconds it'll be on top of tire - and it rides like my old OEM sport suspension at that height.

Indeed. OEM+ (where "+" is equal to +2 wheel diameter and rim tuckage).

I think I will add to both of your statements by saying the "clean" look. "Clean" is usually achieved by staying as close to OEM as possible, while still maintaining a modified look. This also means you stay away from distasteful mods, like a lot of extra chrome parts and ugly body kits.

That's just my opinion though, and the opinion of most Honda guys.
