Hi, I have a 2006 X-type 2.0 Diesel, that I fully adore, in special for all it's problems! This summer brought another one, that I would like to get some directions on how to solve.

The engine feels a bit slow, like being a 70's japanese - the wild animal is sleeping, and pushing the pedal seems only like pushing it into wool, and the fan keeps running long after it stops.

I have several ideas, but I am not sure which of them can be the right one. Thinking about the thermostat? Water pump? I sure have enough water in the system, and no visible leaks.

Can anyone help? At least one experience is made - if you do not know the mistake, your repair man will not know either before a week has passed.
