Default Moving parking aid from one X-Type to another.

I am in the process of retiring our supremely reliable 2003 X-Type stick shift with 202,000 miles. I have bought a 2005 X-type automatic with 32,000 miles. The old car has the parking aid option and the new car does not. I would like to switch the unit. I have both cars side by side and am considering the job.

I have the Jaguar instructions for adding it as an option and it seems easy enough. However when I look at the connector in the spare tire well, the connector shell is the same but the new car only has two pins but the old car has 7.

The Jaguar instructions has drawings on how to do the job but very little text. Is what I want to do possible or is it a can of worms?

Thanks,
Pete.
