Yes, that's a great article with a lot of hard-to-find info. I stumbled upon it some months ago and tried to spread it a bit too when possible it does a good job dispelling the commonly-held belief that the X is just a Ford in a fancy frock. A serious lot of engineering went into this car.

Interesting article. Makes you stop and think of what could have been possible had they kept developing it. By now we would all be trading our cars in for a bargain priced used 2007-2008 with maybe 300 horsepower and a bullet proof transfer case. Even so, these cars fly under the radar and if you buy a well maintained one you will have a nice, reliable car that stands out from the crowd for very little money.
