"if the noise is like afaint rubbing or squeeking noise, there is an additive they will put in there.
Things to fix,
Hid lights,
front lower control arms- klunks going over bumps
demister vents if they are popping up
door handles stiff or hard to open from inside or outside?
running rough? Tell them it sometimes runs rough at idle.
A/c sometimes doesnt blow cold - tell them even if it is ok so they check
Pretty much all I can think of for now "

While you're within the warranty period ancient, why not?
Certainly when you're comming to the end of it, its worthwhile even to get some to independantly inspect it for known faults etc etc and take it in to get it fixed. Could save you hunders possibly even thousands later.

Obviously it makes sense...So then all you have to cover is the diagnostic fee, I take it?

(I've never owned a warrantied car personally, so I have no clue the logstics behind it)

Pu5hkar pointed outall the things I'venoticed recently on the X I've bought last month. The one that bothers me most is the clunking noise coming from underneath the car whenever going over rough road. My warranty runs out in June as FactoryTechGuy pointed out. I bought the car used, the car itself has an accident history on left 1/4 panel, does warranty still apply or will I have to dig deep into pocket?

Replacing/fixing control arm = expensive?

Damnit, economy is sinkingalong with money I was hoping to save. Maybe I made a mistake. But $11k for a 35k mile Jag sounded like a great deal. All in all, its been good so far. ~fingers crossed~

Things I want dealer to fix before warranty ends, are;

1. loose door panels Driver/Pass,covered?
2. buzzing noise coming from air vent when car is turned off, covered?
3. clunking noise from underneath the car, covered?
4. door handles are very stiff, tho I can live with it.
5.not aautotech informed guru in any way, never pretended to, soplease don't knock me on this one, but I'll try to explain it the best I can.
When the car sits there, engine on, the tachometer spikes, thensettles. The engine shakes/vibratesalittle. Is this what you call "rough idle"?

I'm asking these questions so I know what to expect when I go to the dealer. I would hate to make a scene only to find out I was wrong. Thanks all.
