Default mydepot hid update

got my kit at the end of october for $82 delivered. one of my ballasts went bad, so i email mydeopt about it. they replied with 2 options:

1. send them the ballast and $20, to china, and they will send me a new one

2. send them $30 and they will send a new one

so i can eiter spend another 25% of the cost or almost 40% to get one piece delivered, or i can buy another kit for $73. either way i will be without 2 headlights for atleast 2-3 weeks or longer, which just happens to be illegal (and make you look stupid).just a word to the wise...

Yeah kinda...what is your climate right this second though? Pretty sure here in Michigan and I'm sure in nineballs case its probably below freezing by a few digits...

I wouldn't necessarily say that they are lemons, but they do seem to not like the cold.My post was more to the point of warning people not to buy from this seller due to the high cost of replacinga part.

Well if they dont work in the cold that may mean they will not work in the heat. What is next then is the rain and so on. I call something that fails that quickly a lemon!!!!!!!

I think I will stick to the overpriced OEM stuff..

Me too, until further notice. I'm at the age now where I just want stuff to work without my daily/weekly TLC. I wont even do rims anymore because I've cracked a few, or some chrome started peeling, or the rim got bent, etc. I'm loving my stock rims now

Actually in the heat they weren't bad at all...they had their's I think for the most of winter and never heard of a problem...Mine hasn't done it since than...You have to take the good with the bad like I said my buddy paid 200 or a little more for his set of pilots and his do it almost every time his lights go on...to me that well they are 72 now is money well spent...although nineballs still won't work...that is pretty stupid that they do that...

sorry gents but you get what you pay for. $82 bucks is cheap and too good to be true if you expect quality, so of course the company will be lagging somewhere. I paid a little more, and got a 3 month part and labor warranty etc. etc. with great customer service. not that i needed it, because i've never had an issue, rain, cold heat or whatever.

Ours have a 1 year warranty its the shipping that gets you...coming from china they use express shipping and it does cost more than 20 bucks for shipping...Say our bulbs blow in the next year they replace them by sending you a new set for 25 bucks which covers shipping (I investigated and myhiddepot is a sponsor on volvoforum.com or something like that)

$72 bucks for the kit ain't bad at all and I feel I got more than what I paid for. Like I said my buddy paid $200 or more for his and his do it...the only way to ensure a good kit is spend the 300 for the nicer ones but I'd rather buy 4 of these kits for that kind of money!
