Howdy Folks,
About a month ago, I found a mysterious component in the Drivers-side door pocket.... (must have been there for some considerable time)

For the life of me I have searched all over the car... looking for a similar (replaced) part or where this thing is supposed to fit ?
(! have no clue - whatsoever)

Perhaps the Dealer Mechanic just dropped it into the Door-pocket temporarily... (maybe from an earlier Service Job) and does not relate to my X-Type ?

I am lost... but desperate to identify this item;

If anyone knows what this part is and exactly where it belonged - I would be most grateful.
