Default RE: Navigation disc

wow $200 for an updated dvd . it should be free ...
I dunno how many times I used the nav and it read; take "unnamed road" then "make a right" (when it was really a left) onto "unnknown road 2" ... and these unnamed and unknown roads were regular streets ...

Hmm, Are the nav dvd's updated with the model year of the car? for example, if you buy a 06 you should have a 2006 updated dvd, not a 2002 dvd ...

Default RE: Navigation disc

yeah, this is why I consider copying that DVD!

First I believe that buing such an expensive car as the JAG S-TYPE I've got from 2003, and having also in mind the useless navigation maps and that when I wanted to get a new DVD they ask'd me some 900 Euro for the DVD as it is being treated as a part of the car...

Anyone can give me some advices in how can I copy a navi DVD? Are there any protections and what I am interested the most is what are the requirements of the DVD reader that is at the trunk of the car.
