I highly suspect that a few weeks ago it was mounted on the hood of someone's jag. That is why I would not buy a leaper on eBay unless it was boxed as new with all mounting hardware. Otherwise you are only encouraging those jerks.

You can always make a necklace out of it. Just need a silver chain.

Sorry jeremy, but I agree about buying these on ebay, with such a picture, you got a little buy-it-now button happy. It happens, just accept this as a lesson.

Why don't you see if the tech and parts guys on here can get you a 'real' leaper with all the mounting hardware, or at least send you to a site where you can get one intact.

Here is a leaper from a reputable parts seller. Can the guys here beat the price?

That won't help unless you plan on gluing it somehow. The leaper is made to pivot in the base. That one is broken away from the base.

See what you bought...

and what a new one looks like?

There is only the glue fix...and that won't be perfect becuase it was sheared off the mounting plate. It'll never look right, i promise.

It looks like you got a different version... like this one here.

This guy has a big business for these leapers and ford tail gates. Check out his feedback pages.

You got one like this.

If he did, how can he attach beneath the hood? I don't have a leaper, but how does that 'cable' work?

So we can conclude that this guy has horrible luck with UPS as for some reason they seem to lose his tail gates???? Go figure. And for some reason he runs across lots of leapers. Go figure again.

I think he spends his nights ripping off leapers and tailgates. And anyone who buys from him deserves what they get.
