Default New 03 X Type 1st day problems and solutions

Hello all!
I got my X type yesterday and found the headlight was pointing 5 meters in front of the bumper. I thought it would be an easy adjustment but then I found out you have to buy a new set of lights, or somehow glue that nylon stick back together. Glue was not an option since mine didn't break, it shattered into 5 pieces. And glue doesn't seem to be strong enough IMO.

Anyways, this is how I fixed the problem and I hope it would help all those with the same issue.
I was 2 clicks away from spending 900 on a pair of new headlights!! But now I only spent $8.76!

I drilled in 3 screws strategically to center the headlight, and the screws will hold the reflector in place, but also allow me to adjust the beam.

Hello Mikelu4, Your resourcefulness is a great example of the abilities possessed by a 'hands on' Jaguar disciple. The legendary properties of J-B Weld have saved me 1000's of $$$ in parts AND time. Many people regard it as the '8th Wonder of the Modern World'. My feable mind classifies its position on the 'Importance Scale' as being somewhere between cold beer, friendly dogs, and duct tape. Cheers, Andy

Mike, could you include a picture of what the front of the headlight looks like now? I'm just curious.

very clever, i used really strong zip ties to tie it back and readjust the beam so its aligned correctly then tightened the zip ties all the way down, and i doubled them up just incase one were to snap from the cold weather.
