This week I have just bought new original door/ aperture and boot seals for the car.
All seals apart from the boot seal are bonded where they are cut to length except the boot seal.
The boot seal ends are half treated with a glue or possibly rubber solution, and one end has an insert which fits/aligns the other side, see picture.
Without sounding too thick here, when installing, are you meant to use rubber solution to bond/seal the ends ?
As the seal squashes when the boot lid is closed, I assume a flexible type of bond is required ?
I have hunted for the info online but cannot find anything regarding this.
