Hello Everyone I just purchased a used Type X and need to change the brakes. If so how difficult is this change? Does the Type X have normal brakes or is the brake change complicated like in the E320?? also is there is a link with instructions I would appreciate it greatly. thanks.

 

It is pretty standard to change the pads. Two bolts and they slip right off.

 

I did all 4 on mine. Standard brake job. The fronts will require a good smack from a hammer once you have cleared the caliper since they will more than likely be well rusted in place. Install is easy. The back is simple although you will need a piston compression tool to push/turn the rear piston back in.
