Default oil gasket

Does anyone know how much it will be to change an oil gasket? my guy told me it was an 8 hour job that required taking out the transfer case is this true??

If it's the oil pan gasket, yes, it's very difficult and probably more then 8 hrs

Assuming we are talking about the oil pan gasket on a AWD X-Type with automatic trans the warranty labor price is 5.2 hours so 8 hours wouldn't be out of line.

yea its the oil pan gasket I have a 2003 v6 jaguar 2.5 auto

yes there 2 tricks, I pm you the 1 thats cuts it down to an hour the other is 3, and thats all I got to say about that

What are the tricks? Because if I could get it down to the 3 hours I would replace mine. One hour would be even better.

Had mine replaced under warranty 2 months ago. If i remember correctly I think they had 9.5hrs labor listed on the repair order. I'm soooo glad I got an extended warranty.

Well this is depressing, as I was under my car this weekend I noticed I need to replace mine as well. So I would be interested in the "tricks" too.
